Our Refer a Friend programme
We’re always looking for more people who want to make a difference for women and couples needing help to start a family. Our Refer a Friend programme is our way of saying thank you if you know someone who would make a great donor.
So how does it work? As a donor at European Sperm Bank, you can refer a friend. When your friend visits us for the first time, he informs us that he has been referred and provides us with your phone number. Once he has completed two tests, you will receive DKK 2,000. If your friend is not approved as a donor after the two tests, you will still receive your bonus.
You can refer up to two friends per month and you will receive your payment within four weeks, when your friend has visited us for the second time.

To become a sperm donor at European Sperm Bank, you must meet the following requirements:
- Be between 18-45 years old
- Live in Denmark
- Haven’t been donating at another sperm bank
- Have good sperm quality
- Know your biological background
Of all sperm banks, we have the most donor locations in Copenhagen. You can donate in one of our Copenhagen departments (København N, København K, Islands Brygge), in Lyngby, Aarhus and Aalborg.
At European Sperm Bank, you can only become an ID release donor (previously known as an ‘open donor’). As an ID release donor, we may share personally identifiable information about you with individuals conceived with your sperm if they request it. The specific age at which this can happen depends on the country’s legislation, but in Denmark it’s when the person turns 18. Learn more about becoming an ID release donor.
